Hippy bear out for a walk

Even though all three of us are sick we couldn't resist the sunshine and went for a walk. We put a sun hat on the little bear before heading out to keep the sun out of her eyes. She then did a gangster roll all the way down the street.

Playing in the hallway

SV keeps her toys in little bins in the hallway near her room. Sometimes she likes to pull them out and play with them right there and then. We caught her in the act one of the days.

Sleepy luncheon

This is what happens when you refuse to take your morning nap.

Little chef

We went for a walk on a cool day so we gave SV a hat. When we next looked at her she pulled her hat up like this.

Who me?

I am NOT being bad. YOU must be mistaken.

Potato and onion drawer

SV is into everything. One of her favourite things is to get into the drawer that holds the onions, garlic and potatoes. She is very good at standing now and takes advantage of that new found height to look into the drawers and pull stuff out.

Laundry helper

SV is being very helpful as we were doing the laundry. She was pushing the basket around as we filed it. Not necessarily in the right direction though.

SV's new room

We finally managed to fix up SV's room for her. She seems to like the fanciful nature of it. The idea started when we went to Ikea and bought one of the big green leaves which got us thinking of a big tree that would meet the sky. So we bought one more leaf and some fabric and made the tree, sky and clouds. We thought it turned out quite well.

Eating high

As in SV is eating in at a higher altitude than she used to, what were you thinking? Alright then. She is clearly getting her appetite back after her bout of stomach bug and then that terrible hand, foot and mouth disease. It's a good thing too as she started another growth spurt and needs the extra nutrients. We now have to be careful when feeding the little beast as fingers are in danger what with her having top and bottom teeth now.

Be vewy quiet I'm hunting wabbits

The mighty hunter has taken down a formidable rice cake.

Mum and bub in the paper, again

This time KT and SV got into the Inner West Courier, or local paper. See the article below.

Hanging out with Julia

KT 's friend and beloved co-worker Julia stopped by the neighbourhood to have a catch up before starting a new chapter in her life by moving back to Adelaide. Julia was the first person at RPA to know of SV's (then squiggle's) existence and was a constant source of support and encouragement throughout the pregnancy. She even found squiggle's heartbeat with the doppler at 10 weeks gestation so we could have a listen (that's really early)! She will be sorely missed here in Sydney but I'm sure her friends and family in Adelaide are ecstatic to have her back.

The bonus photo on the bottom is from after KT took SV to the park and encouraged her to crawl the length of the field to tucker her out so she'd go to sleep. SV has been on a nap strike for a few days now...zzzzzz.
