Happy 4th of July 2014

Hope everyone had a great holiday. SV certainly is.

Down time from the holiday

KT and SV were taking it real easy. Having a babycino and cappuccino before getting into the popcorn. These two little hoods certainly enjoyed the down time.

Golden Beach sunsaet

We took a walk to the beach just before the sun set. It was really peaceful and we had the place to ourselves, well except for Barry the pelican. He was swimming around watching us in case we felt like giving him a snack. SV wasn't exactly thrilled to take family photographs, she was too busy corralling little puffer fish and picking the weeds out of the water.

Park day all the way

One of the days we went park crazy and visited 4 parks in one day. SV of course enjoyed herself, but she also used it as a learning opportunity. There were a number of new things for her to try. Now she is able to climb the spider web and navigate some other net obstacles quite well. She made sure to include us in her play, but she also made some friends who she ended up playing with very nicely.

A spot of shopping

We wanted to visit the local shopping centre to buy a few things. We ended up getting some very nice new sheets and towels which our guests are welcome to use when they come over.

We had quite a bit of fun with SV enjoying a new ride. The shopping mall spans over a river which makes for some interesting water features and rides. Usually there are paddle boats but when we arrived it was too cold to go on them.

Even the Queen wears pyjamas

Our little Queen wore her crown almost the entire day. Even as she was getting ready for bed and brushing her teeth in pyjamas.  

Another new playground

One thing to be said about Queensland is that they sure have a lot of playgrounds and parks. The great thing is that they are all quite different from each other and they are aimed at different age groups too. We managed to explore most of them in the area. SV really liked this park because it was challenging, but she could do most of the things on her own. She got a real kick out of the telephone and made us sing through it to her.

Getting ready

We were getting ready to go out and SV was dressed and had her hair done. Then she started making faces like this. We couldn't resist taking some photographs.
