Uncle Mat at the park

Uncle Mat met us in the park and immediately hit it off with the babies. SV was a bit hesitant with him, but all the other babies really liked him. SV eventually did become more friendly as well. Mat had a interview that day for the AFP (Australian Federal Police) which hopefully went well for him. Fingers crossed, that way he could move back down to Sydney, or at worse Melbourne or Canberra.

Feeding the duckies

We had some stale bread and had to go near Victoria Park to try to get SV signed up for child care. Victoria Park is home to a large contingent of ducks, gulls, pigeons and ibises who are all more than happy to eat stale bread. SV enjoyed watching the birds last time so we took her again because the weather gave us a bit of sunshine. Just after these photographs were taken though the skies opened up again and it bucketed rain.
Also on a side note SV did manage to get into a child care place starting in January, but so far only for one day a week.

Good bye Grandma Marta

Before taking Grandma Marta to the airport her and SV packed, well SV sort of packed herself and tried to go on another flight. She did play with her Grandma Marta a bit longer though even being naughty and standing on a chair. In the taxi on the way to the airport SV knew something was up and started getting a bit sad, and she was quite sad to see Grandma leave. We tried to lift her spirits and ours with some delicious Vietnamese food, but we were all a bit morose.

Happy Halloween!

This little chook wants to wish everyone a Happy Halloween!

Baby sailor

On the way home from the Sculptures by the Sea exhibition we took home a small sailor. She was well mannered but she kept wanting to eat. She was a bit graby as well, trying to take stuff from our bags.

Sculptures by the sea: Part 2

This second part from Sculptures by the Sea shows some of the more interactive pieces which SV got involved with. She really enjoyed herself, especially with the ribbons which she walked through for 20 minutes or more. We think the photographs speak for themselves so without further ado here they are.

Go Giants

California is never far from our thoughts and it seems that the San Francisco Giants are poised to win the World (North America) Series. So here's a shout out from SV in her kit thanks to the McDowell contingent.

Baby Walker Sydney Ranger

Yesterday and especially today SV has really gotten her legs under her and started walking all by herself. Here is a short video showing off her skills.

Sculpture by the sea: Part 1

Every year Sydney has an art exhibition in spring where around 100 sculptures are displayed around the sea shore by both local and international artists. KT and TV have gone in past years, but this was SV's first time. The weather was terrific and Grandma Marta was with us as we made our way around. Here are a few of the photographs from the exhibition. Thank you to Grandma Marta for taking some of these photographs.
