Making the most of Balmain

 We have been making the most of staying in Balmain and went out to one of the local pubs. It turned out to be fun and delicious. Plus the view on the walk home from the pub was fantastic. We will really miss the spectacular Sydney Harbour.

Visiting the Centerpoint Tower

 MV really wanted to go to the top of the Sydney Tower to get a good view of the city. We had tickets already purchased so it was a fun activity to do. SV was a bit worried about the height but she eventually got over it with KT's help. It was qute fun to see the city from above again. The girls really enjoyed it and had a bit of fun with it too. We managed to even find our old house precisely as well as the new house we were staying in. That made it even more meaningful. There was of course a gift shop onb the way out which we had to visit.

Checking out the facilities

 We moved out of our house and into an aibnb for a little over a week. We went to check out the facilities including the fantastic pool and gym. It made us wonder why we didn't stay in a place like that. The girls loved the pool of course and we really liked the place. It was a fitting place to leave Sydney from.

SV's first opera

 We took SV to the Sydney Opera House to see her first opera, La Traviata. We had a bit of lunch before and then got to enjoy the show and the spectacular view. She found the opera a bit challenging and it wasn't her favourite activity. It did get her interested in other operas and operates though. After the show we walked around the city a little bit including visiting Customs House where a miniature version of the city is displayed. SV hadn't been there as far as she could remember. KT and TV also took a photograph next to the tree they spent hours camped with their friends for their very first New Year's Eve in Sydney.

Bushwalk in the Royal National Park

 We wanted to go and have at least one more bushwalk so we went down to the Royal National Park. It was a nice day for it as it was a bit cooler although it did rain for a little bit. We were prepared so it wasn't that bad. We enjoyed having a picnic at the halfway point overlooking the ocean. It was a really nice family outing as well and a good last bushwalk.

One last Sydney date night

 We got to go to one of our favourite restaurants, Hubbert, which featured jazz and French cuisine. Afterwards we went to a nice little bar for some very fancy cocktails. It was a really nice night out.

Fancy shopping and street magic

 We went to pick up some bespoke pieces from one of our favourite shops where we have quite a good relationship. It was fun to go in as a family as well. Afterwards we stopped to watch a magic show and the magician picked MV as his helper and TV who was standing separately was also asked to help. He was good and entertaining.
