We worked on the tree some more and just about when we were finished our delivery dinner arrived. We only had enough time to admire our handy work briefly before sitting down to eat. It was quite a pleasant last part of the afternoon and improved everyone's mood.
After school we brought out the christmas tree and started decorating it. Of course who can decorate without a good sound track. We found one with a nice fire and tree as a background. We all had fun and were in a good mood. All the little cats were working together and helping out as well.
SV went to her friend's house for a sleepover and the younger two sisters also got to have a sleepover with each other. They had fun, a little too much fun some would say. They were playing and chatting until quite late, so in the end they each ended up sleeping in their own rooms. In the morning they went and played together again though.
KT found a new bushwalk for us to go on. This one was actually really quite close to us and wasn't too terribly long. The girls walked the entire 5.5 kilometres and really enjoyed themselves. EV ended up riding in the backpack for a bit because she was a bit tired at one point. Almost ended up falling asleep but didn't, instead she wanted to get out. We managed to get lunch along the way and stop in at a playground too. Not too many places in the world where you can have a lovely bushwalk seeing wildlife like flying foxes and then have a great club sandwich for lunch and a bubble tea as a treat on the way home.
We went to the park despite it being a bit wet because, well it's been wet all week and is meant to be so the next week too. This park was mostly covered so it wasn't such a big deal and the girls had a good time as they had the park almost to themselves.
The little ones had way too much energy so TV took them out for a walk in the rain. Ended up walking over 4 kilometres in the rain, uphill, both ways!!! Actually they had fun walking through the puddles and looking at things. There was a bit of conflict about the umbrellas and rain coats but eventually we got through it.
This week we managed to get some photographs of SV during her lesson. Her stroke is really coming along, she just needs to focus on her breathing technique. Her backstroke is coming along well too. She is really enjoying herself and is also quite keen to keep going particularly as she is getting some personal coaching.
