SV's Athletics Carnival 2023

 This was SV's last Athletics Carnival at LPS. It was a bit of a shame that she hurt her leg earlier in the week, but we were very proud of her for competing in several events. She always likes to do the long jump and this year was no exception. Unfortunately she didn't do as well as she hoped due to her injury. She also competed in the 200m and 100m runs where she did well considering. The best part though was how well she supported MV when she struggled and cheered for her friends, especially Charlie. She was so generous and supportive. It was really great to see, and she had a fun day as a result.

MV's Athletics Carnival 2023

 This was MV's first big kids Athletic Carnival and she tried a whole bunch of stuff for the first time. She started her day with a 1,500m run which she began with gusto but then ran out of puff. Luckily SV was there to help her along and got her to the finish. MV also did the discus which she threw amazingly well on her first go. Her shotput wasn't as good but she still did well. She was also quite competitive in the 100m sprint, making it clear that she is much better at the shorter distance at the moment. She had a fun day but was absolutely exhausted by the end of it.

Big time baby style

 MV is feeling a bit of nostalgia about being a baby and wants to try out some of the baby stuff. At the same time she has lots of style and acts quite mature. So we end up with photographs like these. EV was also quite proud of he hair cut and was showing it off.

EV gets her hairs cut

 For only the second time ever, EV got her hairs cut. It was more of a trim as she wants to grow her hair out, but she was happy to do it. KT did a good job of cutting off the damaged hair while staying on EV's good side.

Visiting Vivid with friends

 We were intending to go see the lights of Vivid again and with a chance conversation we ended up hooking up with our friends. It worked out really well as we caught up for an early lunch before catching the train down to Circular Quay together. This year there were heaps and heaps of people but also quite a few exhibits. Combined with a pleasant autumn evening, it made for a very nice night out with all the kids. On the way back we also stopped to look at the new concourse which was built at Central Station, another project TV helped get built. At home we also have our own Vivid display, perhaps the most spectacular one of all.

Shopping for a present

 The girls went to the shopping centre to look for a present for KT. Since she specifically said she didn't want anything, particularly stuff, it made it a bit tricky. Luckily we saw the lolly shop and the girls picked out a few things for her to enjoy. Possibly one thing for themselves too.

Ashfield pool

 MV had a play date with her friend so TV asked the other two what they wanted to do. The resounding consensus was to go to the pool. The girls had a really good time with SV enjoying being able to have some free time in the pool to do what she wanted. More relaxed than her structured training sessions for squads. EV also had fun just playing but we worked with her and she managed to swim the length of the 25m pool stopping only twice. She did great.
