In the tent

The rain chased us away from the lookout and really going for any significant walks. Instead we took advantage of the extra room in our tent and played games. SV got a toy camera from Uncle Rich and she took lots of silly photographs. When it was time for dinner we went to the camp kitchen and had fun there. It was a really nice and relaxing evening before we turned in early.

Tent Camping Day 1

SV and KT were both excited about doing a bit more camping after our trip up north. We bought a new family tent and a sleeping bag for SV and headed south. SV was in a cheeky mood even before we left and that continued throughout the first day. After a great picnic lunch in the park we reached our camp site. It was quite nice because it had a camp kitchen and hot showers, but otherwise it was in the forest. The tent went up with no problem since we practised previously. SV had a bit of a play in the sandy soil, first digging around and later drawing with a stick. We then headed to the lookout to see the gorge before the big sheet of rain arrived.

Kid picnic

SV had her friends Ashton and Sofia over to play. They had a really nice picnic on the living room floor. SV was even willing to let Sofia wear her Ana dress while she wore her older princess dress. Ashton was just happy to roll around.

Heli flight

TV had another opportunity to fly a helicopter with KT and SV coming along. Unfortunately they didn't get to go for a flight, but SV was still quite excited. She really seems to like airports with their excitement. She enjoyed sitting in the cockpit and getting to handle all of the controls before TV took off.

Tent test

We just got a new tent to replace the one that we used on our recent trip as it leaked quite a bit. TV and SV had a practiced assembling it so that they would know what to do on the next camping trip. It is a little bit more complicated to put together than the little backpacking tent, but it sure is a lot more roomy. SV had fun putting it together and approved of the final product.

Uncle Jonathan's last day

For Uncle Jonathan's day we had to go into the city so that KT and TV could give some blood for a test. Then we walked around a bit and SV was quite excited about The Strand mall. We finished the morning with a delicious Korean BBQ which we like before rushing home to get Uncle Jonathan to the airport for his flight to Bali.

Little dance class

We have signed SV up for dance classes again and she is really enjoying it. We think that she would enjoy it even more if they did any one dance for longer but she is doing well. Some of her friends are in the class as well which makes it even more fun for her. After class she got eat snacks and play with her friends a bit more as well.
