Gum boots and rain coat

It's been a rainy couple of days and SV has been enjoying it. She really likes the idea of putting on her gum boots and raincoat to go walk in the rain. She is starting to discover puddles, but is still relatively shy about them. We are trying to encourage that, but it's only a matter of time.

Little Red Riding Hood (sans hood)

SV went to school and later the park in a red dress that made her look like the fable character. In these photographs she wanted to go to the park so we went along with her ball and teddy. She really enjoyed the park despite being empty due to the wind. SV is becoming quite the little model, especially considering that none of these photographs are posed. She is just our cheeky little monkey.

Shower sillies

SV is slowly warming up to the idea of showers. The main problem with them is getting water into her eyes. She hasn't yet figured out how to deal with it. Here she managed to get distracted by playing with her cup until the entire bathroom steamed up.

Scooter Baby

While SV really enjoyed riding the scooter as in these photographs and video, she has kind of cooled towards it lately. We are trying to get her excited about riding it again though because she really has fun when she rides it.

Stand up reader

SV is really enjoyes reading books a lot. Sometimes she/we will read her 10 or 15 books in a sitting. Since she spends so much time in books it almost seems that she can read sometimes. For example with The Hungry Caterpillar book she knows about 90% of the words now, seemingly reading the book. Pretty soon she will start reading on her own.

Dinner with friends at Frank's

We caught up with Leah, Liz and Alexis whom we haven't seen since Bali. It was great having catching up over pizza and ice cream at Frank's Pizza. Carlos also came after work for a good chat. It was pretty clear what SV's favourite part of the evening was as she finished an entire ice cream on her own after dinner.

Baby shark

SV is a big fan of the pool and she has been making big strides in her swimming. Here are a couple of the photographs and a short video of her pool prowess. She is certainly having fun now.
