There was so much to do to get ready for EV's party since it was at our house. We had to make the party bags, decorate the house, set the table and make the snake cake. KT ended up using fondant to make a snake head and then using different kinds of ice cream to make the body.
We have been enjoying some of the lovely things in Sydney while we still have a chance. We went out to a delicious dinner and some late afternoon drinks.
The day before her birthday party EV managed to find one more birthday present which she happily opened.
MV and SV have set up mini school for EV. It is an effort for them to start teaching her kindy things like writing, maths and beginning to read. That way she is prepared for school and it is starting to get her interested and used to having school things to do. She is enjoying having her teachers, although sometimes her teachers are a bit more strict than the real ones.
As the sun set we had a quick dinner and took one more stroll through Luna Park under the lights. It was really a nice way to quietly wrap up the day before heading over to the ferry and going home. Everyone was nice and tired, but in a good way.
MV and KT ended up riding the big roller coaster together and MV loved it. They also went on the drop tower too while SV took EV on the smaller ferris wheel. We all went on the swings as well before ending the day on the big ferris wheel as the sun was setting. Such a fantastic and iconic Sydney view.
After refuelling we all went into Coney Island to have a bit of a play. The girls tried to stay on the spinner and EV ended up winning despite a somewhat controversial attempt to stay on by one of the other kids. We all went on the slides too which proved to be quite popular, especially MV. EV enjoyed the turkey trot the most as she got bounced all around.
