We went over to Auntie Andula's house for some games. It was a really fun evening with a tasty dinner. We were all a bit silly which was actually really nice.

Dinner at Mlyne
We managed to get everyone together and meet up for dinner at the Na Mlyne restaurant. It was fun to see everyone together and we had the whole back patio to ourselves. It's a place where we go fairly regularly so we all felt comfortable and just enjoyed ourselves.

Eko Park visit
The girls all went to Eko Park again to visit the animals and play on the big playground. They had a great time playing with the guinea pigs and bunnies who were actually quite tame. The other animals were also interesting of course but the true highlight of the visit was the massive playground with so much climbing.

Bojnice playground
Before leaving the castle we also made a stop at a playground which had all sorts of fantastic creatures in it. The girls really liked jumping on the trampolines and exploring the creatures while we relaxed. There was also an unexplained lawn gnome area which we looked at and generally wondered about. On the way back to the car we stopped to look at the small lake with a little building on it.

Meeting owls
As we walked around the castle we saw a couple of ladies walking around showcasing the owls from the local zoo. The girls were really excited to see the owls and even more excited to be able to hold them. The girls also ended up finding a geocache near there after having a spot of lunch.

Grotto below Bojnický Zámok
The tour ended by taking us into the lowest levels of the castle which included the grotto. We always enjoy visiting this part of the castle which was partially man made and provided drinking water for the occupants of the castle originally.

Tower at Bojnice
We walked through the courtyard to go into the tower which had some of the private apartments which were very nicely decorated. The wood panelling was particularly finely carved and went nicely with the wall paper. We also made our way to the basement levels of the tower where the last members of the Palffy family are laid to rest. The Palffy's were the last family to own the castle and made the last of the changes to castle to create the current form.
