Shiba's kitchen

SV has been going to swimming as part of school and keeps riding by a restaurant which really appealed to her. She has been asking us to go there for a while and we finally managed to get there. Turned out to be a great pick with a nice atmosphere and delicious food. We had a great evening and left quite full, which is exactly what you want on a chilly autumn or winter night.

Quick day out

TV took the girls out to the shops to keep them busy and to feed them a bit of lunch. This gave KT some time to work on her Uni work in peace. The girls enjoyed some tacos and walking around the shops. EV found the big T-rex which she wanted a photograph with. Eventually we made it back home and the girls worked on MV's birthday present. They managed to work together and get it all done in one afternoon with minimal conflict. It was great.

Morning drawings

EV is getting into drawing more and she is looking at her sisters for inspiration. They are also giving her some pointers and her art is coming along nicely.

Saying good bye to the horses

On our last day we went back to the far paddocks to say good bye to the three horses in the paddock that the girls named after themselves. It was a bit of an adventure to get back there even with gumboots because of all the rain. The horses were happy to see the girls and get carrots from their namesakes.

Visiting the bunnies and quails

EV and SV went to visit the rabbits and quails again. This time we decided to see whether Setsuna would play nicely with the other rabbits and to see what she thought of the quails. The result was that she ignored all of them and wanted us to pat her. The girls also made sure to pat the other animals as well though.

Visiting the back paddocks

We slowly made our way to the back paddocks to feed the horses there. Along the way it started raining but we didn't really mind as we kept feeding the horses. Luckily it was only a shower and it quickly passed letting us have more fun. Michael showed us a natural swing near the river along with a couple of fox holes, sans foxes. On the way back he drove through some of the big puddles which was a blast too. After all of that work the girls were wiped out and needed to recharge while we made dinner. Which made it easy to make and quick to disappear.

Working on the farm

We again had a chance to do a little work with the animals on the farm. The girls climbed to the top of the hay pile to load some feed for the horses. We then went and fed the animals with Michael. We really enjoyed the crisp autumn afternoon with the lovely colours.
