German meals

One of the best things about travel is all the delicious food to try out. In Germany we got to have a number of delicious meals. The dinner we had was traditional and a bit unexpected as we had a really hard time finding a place. It was delicious though. In the morning we went in to a Turkish cafe for breakfast. Really good and interesting. We also had some fast food and a play so the kids could have a win before the flight. Although we all finished the trip with delicious Frankfurters at the airport lounge.

Praha Castle and St Vitus Cathedral

 As we started our journey home we drove through Praha one more time. Before we got there though we stopped at a rest stop restaurant. This one was sea themed and very busy, we could see why as the food was fantastic. In Praha we went back to the castle and St Vitus cathedral since it was closed last time due to Easter. TV explained some of the architecture of the church and the girls really enjoyed seeing the high gothic ceilings and the stained glass windows. The view from the castle was quite dramatic with clouds coming in. We had fun but EV was a bit grumpy because she didn't get to have a toy, even though she didn't really want it.

Saying good bye to Slovakia

 This trip had to finish eventually and the time came for us to say our good byes. The girls finally managed to go to one of their favourite parks and play. They said their good byes to Teta Andula and they were sad to do so. We also had to say good bye to Nagymama as we packed the car and headed out to start our trip back home across 5 countries, 3 continents and just shy of 24 hours of flying. It was certainly worth it though.

Last art project with Teta Andula

 The girls got to work on one last art project as we spent one more day with Teta Andula. This time around they each worked on their own painting. They still had fun and at the end we all looked at some great family photographs from when TV was little and before. 

Flower crowns

 The girls played with their new friend and even went to a nearby playground. They also made flower crowns with the help of their friend's mum. They absolutely loved both the crowns and the freedom to explore the countryside. 

Playing on the farm

 There were so many toys to play with that the girls were having a ball. They also made a new friend who is half Slovak and half American, so they could speak to her easily. EV got her first proper taste of archery and just like her sisters really enjoyed it. All three of them were inside and outside and back again the whole afternoon. They had a really good time. It was a small miracle as well because so many of the family came together and we even managed to get a group photograph of everyone.

Horse feeding and riding

 We went to see Teta Mata and her family on their farm. They have three horses and the girls were really excited to feed, groom and even ride them. It was a picture perfect day as well which made the whole experience even better.
