SV's first day of year 3

School holidays are over again and it was time for SV to head back to school, this time as a year 3 student. At first she was very serious, doing one of her model stances. Eventually she broke down a bit and gave a bit of a smile.

Last day of school holidays

For her last day of school holidays SV really wanted to go to the beach and the day was perfect for it. SV brought her boogie board to try riding the waves. She had some success too. MV just enjoyed jumping in the waves and running around. EV was a bit scared of the waves but made peace with the sand, actually enjoying it by the end. After we changed we had a nice little lunch at a kiosk, it really made it feel like a lazy summer day.

Post festival cool down

We caught up with Auntie Leah and as we got really hot we went to the shops to cool down. We had a cold drink and chatted while we played with hair as well. The cool air made everyone feel quite jazzy. As we headed home some of that jazziness wore off though, except for a certain someone.

Yabun festival

This year we decided to go see the Yabun festival which is apparently the largest Aboriginal festival in Australia. It was a really hot day but the turn out was still quite good. We had fun as we did a number of activities and tried several foods on offer. The girls really enjoyed making their own buttons. TV quite liked the condiment dispenser, the hot dog was pretty good too and MV ate it in a minute.

Little pool is back

We cleaned and refilled the little pool because the warm weather was back, to be fair it hadn't really gone anywhere we were just too busy. We started filling he pool and the girls were very keen to jump get in. So they did and played with bath toys while the pool filled. They used the pool like a giant fishing game with the pool net.

More of EV at Jungle Buddies

After a bit of a recharge with a snack and water everyone was off to play some more. The big sisters took EV around and took great care of her. They took turns to play and help her around the bigger structure.

Just like the other two EV had to start in the little kids area. She thought it was ok. Soon she saw her two sisters running around the other parts of the equipment and she was keen to join them. They for their part were having a great time since it has been quite a while since they had been there.
