We are not sure where we are going to live so we went and had a look at a couple of houses. It was really more to see what's out there than anything. One of the houses was weirdly set out and awkward. The other house was a bit small, but it was still a good exercise.
We were at Babicka's house and the girls were really enjoying the big property having freedom to roam. They enjoyed playing with the dogs and really liked swimming in the waterfall. They were climbing the waterfall and diving down into the pool.
We just got an electric cargo bike and put it all together. We had a first ride on it and it was pretty fun. It will take a little getting used to, but it will serve us well we hope.
We have been waiting for a car to arrive but it ended up having a recall on it so we were forced to buy a second hand car. We found this really nice Volvo so we went to pick it up. It was quite a pleasant experience actually and it has served us well so far. The kids still miss Aiv, our little Honda, but they are pretty happy about this one.
SV got tired of having long hair and decided to get a short haircut. KT found her a good salon and took her there. SV enjoyed the experience and her new cut.
It was strange being back in Sac after such a big trip, everything was the same. It was good to see family but we didn't have heaps of time to relax as we had to start setting up our lives and pretty quickly get ready for our next adventure. EV celebrated a milestone, losing her first tooth which was exciting for all of us.
On our last day of this truly amazing trip we got up and leisurely walked into the terminal to drop off our bags. We then headed into the business class lounge to have some bubbles and relax. The first leg to London was in business class so we were nice and comfortable and not in a hurry to get to the airplane. We stopped to say hi to some silly tourists who were acting out. Once onboard we spread out and enjoyed the extra room. It was a very comfortable flight. When we arrived into London we saw a familiar sight from home with the Qantas A380 preparing for its long journey back. We had a different destination though and our flight to SF was fine in a bare bones sort of way. We were so lucky to have an opportunity to take this time and visit so many fantastic places, and see so many familiar faces all around the world. There is no better way to have spent this precious time together growing, learning and expanding our horizons.
