At the museum

We took SV and MV to the Australian Museum again which was a fun experience for us all. Especially since it was just a short walk across the park from the hotel. SV really enjoyed playing in the kids area while MV had a snack. We then looked at the Australian animals and dinosaurs. SV really enjoyed digging for fossils and colouring in her own dinosaurs.

Family time in the hotel

While we were in the hotel we really enjoyed playing together and continuing to learn to be a family of four. It was very nice to establish those bonds.

Sophisticated kid

SV is such a cosmopolitan kid, she feels very comfortable eating sashimi at sushi train or eating at a fancy food hall. It is so great to see her be so mature and comfortable in those situations.

In the shower

One of the big reasons we got the hotel room was to take advantage of the big shower and bath with unlimited hot water. SV and MV certainly enjoyed it.

At the hotel again

We again decided to have a little staycation in the CBD. We went to our favourite hotel which was the first time that MV has visited. On the other hand SV was more than comfortable and felt at home. She has been there a number of times now and enjoys the experience. We came in the afternoon and had an early night sort of. In the morning we had delicious croissants from a bakery downstairs before the girls played. There were forts and ships to be built, and thumbs to be sucked. MV is obviously learning from her big sister.

Big day in dance

It had been a while since TV got to go to dance class and he got to see SV improve quite a bit. She was very excited and had a fun class. Her dancing has really come a long way and she was happy to show her skills off. This day they started learning yoga positions which SV was comfortable with since she does it at her school like a true inner-westie.

Sydney Park after lunch

After lunch we stayed on a bit and ended up skipping SV's nap so we could play some more. MV enjoyed watching her big sister run around and make faces. SV got to ride her scooter around a learning area where she gets to learn road rules. She did really well until she had a crash where she skinned her elbow. She was very good though because she got right back up and kept on going. When we did get home SV listened to one story and simply collapsed into her bed, happily exhausted. MV still had energy and after the story was very keen to play with TV's shirt.
