We went to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Hobart which ended up being quite interesting. The pieces were well arranged and made for an interesting exhibition. SV enjoyed looking at the various pieces and she definitely preferred some over others. Here are a couple of photographs from the museum and the terrace overlooking the Derwent River.

Salamanca Markets
In the morning we went to the Salamanca Markets to do a bit of shopping and to enjoy the waterfront of Hobart. SV picked out a pair of really soft pants which she wanted us to buy her. She was quite insistent that she liked them so we ended up getting them for her. She then proceeded to walk around with them most of the day. She even snuggled with them in her pram. She seemed to enjoy the shopping until she got hungry and sleepy at which point she certainly let us know.

Tasmanian morning
After arriving in Hobart we woke to a nice crisp day which SV took full advantage of by exploring our apartment. She has a bit of a weird fascination with her tough guy sailor hat which she put on before she explored the house which included a detailed analysis of the high chair, pointing out faults in the masonry and perusal of the bookshelf. After breakfast SV and TV freshened up before we all headed out the Salamanca Markets.

Lynda and Norman's pool
We went to visit Lynda and Norman who are Leah's parents in Double Bay. It was really lovely to see them again, we haven't visited since SV was just over a year old. SV had a great time swimming in the pool and then watching Tom & Jerry on their television before running up and down their stairs. They were very gracious hosts and they got a kick out of her exuberance. We must give a big thank you to them for hosting us, especially since it was quite last minute.

Penmanship
SV is working on her penmanship as she works through her drawings and tiny toddler essays. It's really interesting to see that she often has a vision for a piece and knows exactly when it is done. She rarely goes back to a piece once she finishes the first time.

Waiting for our flight
SV is pretty happy sucking on her milk and eating carrots as we wait for our flight home. She is now a seasoned pro, so small delays like this are not a problem.
MAMA MAMA MAMA
SV is wearing what used to be KT's old MAMA MAMA MAMA shirt. Not exactly why the shirt is yelling, but there you go.

Digging at Salamanca Markets
We walked around the famous Salamanca Markets in Hobart but SV got tired and hungry. So we stopped at a little park adjacent to the markets and SV raked leaves and dug around in the grass before we had lunch.
Two+ weetbix
SV is now eating two and a bit weetbix for breakfast. To give a sense of how much that is, we adults only eat about two weetbix ourselves. Of course that's only when we have to, otherwise no thanks. We aren't quite sure why SV likes the stuff so much, but good on her for having her own preferences.
Museum of Old and New Art
We went to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) which was built and owned by a private person. It is a very interesting museum here in Hobart and is one of the big new attractions. They even have a ferry connecting the museum to the Hobart CBD. SV and TV took a photograph at the entrance after SV woke up from her nap. Our hoteliers were considerate enough to have a pram for us to use, which is why SV is riding in a different pram here.
