After a fantastic week in Cyprus it was time to head back to Germany to visit our friends. We had a great flight which ended up being quite short. Arriving in Munich is always pleasant and this was no exception as we got through the airport with no fuss and even joked around a bit. We were soon on the road to Augsburg in our hire car.
Well kind of, more like a place where the cats were fed by tourists and tolerated by the monks. After a week of trying to get Steeven to let us give him a pat we decided to visit a cat sanctuary where the cats were more tame and happy to be patted. It was a little bit out of the way but worth the stop to get to see some friendly cats. The girls really enjoyed it and even the heat did not deter them from getting their fill. After seeing the cats we felt like we got a complete experience of Cyprus and we were all keen to come back again next time.
We didn't need to hurry in the morning so we had a very nice start. The girls hopped into bed and had some fun with KT. What better way to end a stay like this than with a bit more fun.
It was hard to believe that this was the last evening we had at Pissouri before we had to move on. We really enjoyed our stay here, especially having the beach so close. We all went for one more swim in the sea and to collect a few cool rocks. We warmed up on the lounge chairs and really had a chance to unwind. Afterwards we casually walked up to one of the restaurants and had a dinner overlooking the sea which was framed by ripening grapes.
MV has been practicing her make up skills and KT was her latest volunteer. KT let her use her nice make up for this make over which made MV really happy. She did a good job and learned a lot from the experience. Plus it was good bonding time for the two of them.
We had a lovely dinner on the patio and watched the sun set and transition into dusk. The food was delicious and we had a lovely conversation with time passing far too quickly. The girls hadn't changed out of their swimmers so pretty soon they were back in the pool for one more swim before we had to head home.
We were really excited to visit Auntie Carola and Uncle Cristos at their home in the hills overlooking Limassol. They were very welcoming and it didn't take the girls long to get into their swimsuits and the pool. It was such a lovely late afternoon that we all enjoyed being outside and looking out over the city. Cristos also showed us his veggie garden and we got to try some of his veggies and herbs fresh. He made a salad from his garden and it was so good. We had a hard time getting the girls out of the pool, when we did they had no less fun chasing each other on the grass.
