The topiary maze at the Jewel

This maze was a little bit longer and had a viewing platform at the end to be able to watch all the other people working their way through it. We enjoyed this one as there were a few fun surprises like gates which could be moved and change the paths. Also flowers that would bloom and retreat as people walked by them. Just like the mirror maze before, we all made it through it without trouble and enjoyed the experience.

The Jewel's mirror maze

We had to pay extra for some of the activities like the mirrors and the flower garden but we were quite happy to do so. The mirror maze was really fun and they gave us short pool noodles to prevent us bumping into the mirrors and stop us using our hands to get the mirrors dirty. It was fun, but the girls thought it was too short.

Exploring Changi Airport

We arrived at the airport in the early afternoon to give ourselves plenty of time to explore The Jewel and other parts of the airport. The Jewel is a massive shopping centre which has a huge indoor waterfall and beautiful gardens at it's centre. We had a very early flight the next day so we decided on staying at the airport to enable us sleeping as long as possible. We got to got to some of the fan favourite stores including the Pokemon and Nintendo stores among others.

Singapore playground

We caught up with Auntie Cheyenne one more time before we headed off. This time we met at her apartment which has a private playground for the kids. It seems that there are not very many public playgrounds in Singapore so this was a nice treat for the kids. Afterwards we had a traditional breakfast at the original Killiney Kopitiam which was delicious.

Visiting Red Hill Market

We were so excited to go for dinner at Redhill Market which is our favourite local hawker centre. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent and we just kept getting more. In the end we ended up having 50 chicken satay skewers plus chicken rice and carrot cake and other things too. Of course we had juices too! We were stuffed and happy at the end.

Shopping in Little India

We walked through Little India with the kids because they had never been there before and it was great. There were heaps of shops and we got little snacks too. We also stopped into a small shopping centre but it wasn't the one we were looking for, interesting nonetheless.

Streets of Singapore

It was really nice to be able to just walk through the streets of Singapore. We walked from Bugis to Little India. Some of us went inside the mosque to see what it looked like. It was really quite nice. Afterwards we got tea and pomogranite juice, refreshing.
