Tubing on the lake

 We got the tube out and we all ended up getting out on to the tube and got to be towed around the lake. It was fun to bounce around behind the boat for a while. At the end of the day w also got to ride off through the sunset and head home.

Going on the boat

 We got to go on the boat and ride around Folsom Lake. Brad found a nice little cove for us to swim in. We got to see Canadian geese who paddled by to take a look at us. There was also a family of coyotes that watched us from the shore. The three cubs looked like they wanted to come and have a play but the mother decidedly discouraged that. It was fun to get into the water and swim around though.

More from Sea Life

 We all really enjoyed seeing the animals and getting up close to them. Feeding and patting the bunny was quite popular possibly because we missed Setsuna. The smiling rays were also popular, particularly since they came up for a pat. They also swam with some white tipped reef sharks and other sharks which was cool. Uncle Richie also took the girls to try out the tornado simulator.

Sea life visit

 Babicka suggested we go to Sea Life to see some of the animals there. Originally she was going to go but we just ran out of time. So instead Grandpa Brad and Uncle Richie came with us. It was quite busy but we still managed to have a good time patting and feeding most of the animals. 

Lego and coins

 The girls got up and started playing with Babicka. They started out playing with some of the old lego's TV had growing up. They then went inside to organise the loose change into stacks and count it. It kept them busy most of the morning and they quite enjoyed it. They had a bit of an education on US coins and some of the funny things about them.

Jaw breakers and puppet theater

 For lunch we had a great Japanese meal which was followed up by jaw breakers, a really hard lolly, for dessert. The girls worked diligently on them for quite some time. The restaurant also had an old arcade puppet theater machine which we were all quite curious about. So we stayed and watched it go, it was interesting to see. We followed it all up with a trip to REI to get a few things and mostly try out a bunch of stuff.

Meeting Jeanna's family

 We got to meet Jeanna's family as they came up for the day. The girls instantly hit it off with Jeanna's dad and the adults also had a really good conversation. Uncle Richie also provided some entertainment as a climbing gym for the smaller two.
