Activities at the Australian Museum

After looking at some of the exhibits it was time to go to the interactive area. SV was invited to make a backpack from paper. She had a lot of fun doing it with a bit of help from KT. In the meantime TV took SV to the baby play area where she roamed freely until she found her glass wall. She thought it would be fun to make faces on the wall.

A day at the Australian Museum

We decided to take a break from unpacking and catch the bus into the city to take in a museum. We went to the Australian Museum which has recently finished a refurbishment. The new animal displays look good and both girls enjoyed looking at the various stuffed animals. The local aboriginal art was also quite interesting. Of course the souvenir shop held a lot of interest as well.

Masked crusaders save MV

MV was in need of rescuing (not really) luckily there were a couple of masked crusaders in the neighbourhood looking for employment. Can anyone guess their secret identity?

Another day around the house

The two little ones are really starting to bond. They are beginning to play nicely together. MV is still exploring things (mostly by chewing on them) while SV gives her things to look at and play with. SV has been really good about trying to teach MV how to play with the toys though.

Happy Australia Day 2016

We are out on the Harbour celebrating Australia Day with friends. Beautiful day, views,  food,  family and friends. What else can you ask for?

Using the pool

SV supervised the filling of the pool but it was MV who got in for a dip first. SV was too busy working on her lego with TV to go for a swim. MV really had a lot of fun though.

Auntie Liz's big day

Here are a few more photographs from Auntie Liz's wedding day. She and Aaron really enjoyed the day but it went by in a flash. The style of the wedding really suited them and lived up to being low key but heaps of fun. We also had a great time. The girls were on best behaviour with SV finding other kids and getting them to all dance together. MV enjoyed getting so much attention but she managed to have a nap to keep up her strength.

Auntie Liz gets married

We were lucky enough to get a family invite to the wedding considering it was such a small event. It was held at the pub and TV was the official photographer. MV and SV had heaps of fun talking to lots of people, especially Uncle Mat and Auntie Leah. Of course Auntie Liz was the star and she spent lots of time talking to us.
