MV's teacher Mrs Moore was so happy to give her this award. They got along very well and MV really flourished through the year. We were really proud of her for her hard work and how much she learned throughout the year. It was really her first school year that wasn't significantly disrupted by Covid so it was great to see how well she did and for her to get the recognition was the bonus..
SV was really chuffed to be selected as Library Leader for next year. She got to receive her pin at the end of year assembly. She's not fully sure what the position entails but she is happy to be a student leader in her last year at LPS. What makes it even better is that two of her good friends are leaders as well, so they will have a good time together.
The older two girls continued working together to finish off all the cards for their classmates. In the meantime EV helped with rolling out dough to make dinner and later cookies. They all managed to work next to each other and were all very helpful in finishing things off.
We went for a drive to give KT some valuable sleeping time. We popped into a toy shop and a camping shop to take a look at things. The girls had fun playing at both shops. Afterwards we went to the park to play some more. It was quite a nice day for all of us.
The girls really wanted to handout Xmas cards to each of their classmates. So they set about writing personal messages and individual pictures to go along with candy canes for each of their classmates. SV managed to work through it quite quickly but MV struggled a bit. EV enjoyed sitting there with them but thankfully didn't want to follow suit for her school chums. Would have been difficult since she can't write just yet.
We went to our twice a year dental check up in the city. It was a good opportunity to do the last of our Xmas shopping and look at some of the decorations. Afterwards we had dinner at one of our favourites, Pepper Lunch. The kids love to get wagyu beef steaks there, perhaps it's the fact that they get to cook the steaks themselves on their skillet plates. Or perhaps it's the accompanying goodies or the atmosphere. In any case it is always a popular meal option.
The post decoration snowball fight has now become an annual event. This year all three girls participated and had fun. Although the younger two teamed up against SV they all still had fun.
