Brno MotoGP

We were quite fortunate that our holiday coincided with the MotoGP race in nearby Brno. We took Auntie Andula with us who enjoys motorcycles and racing. For those of you who might think it would be too loud or obnoxious to take kids, rest assured that SV had no problems sleeping through about half the race. The other half she was quite interested in. MV was interested for the most part as well as long as she got to walk around a bit.

Getting to Slovakia

Nagymama secured a little apartment for us and when we arrived she brought us in to see it. It is really good and will serve us well. SV and MV immediately got to playing and enjoying it. They rolled around and tumbled for a while before making sure to give plenty of hugs to Nagymama.

Driving to Slovakia

On the way to Slovakia we had a fair bit more driving to do and after all of that excitement some of us took an opportunity to have a bit of a rest. Then it was time to play again. MV got a bit silly with the stickers and SV may or may not have egged her on.

Meeting the kozels at the brewery

The best part of the stop was actually patting the goats and adjacent playground for the kids. The adults, maybe not as much.

Kozel brewery

Two breweries in one day, we are out of control. Because we are in the Czech Republik and because we can. It was also a convenient place to stop for lunch on our way to Slovakia. The girls enjoyed running around on the grass and through the trees. Also it was fun to have them pose on the barrel with the kozel or goat in the background. They of course then enjoyed jumping off the barrels.

Pilsner Urquell brewery

Since we were in Plzen we couldn't well not stop at the Pilsner Urquell Brewery. So we naturally stopped in to sample their wares. The kids had heaps of fun running around in the gardens and playground area. There happened to be a Chinese tour group that stopped in and the girls found themselves at the centre of a tourist paparazzi swarm.

Getting up at 5:30

We all slept really well but woke up at 5:30 am. Since there was very little actually open we hung out at the pension for a few hours. There were some games played and nails being done. It was fun and got us through a couple of hours before breaky.
