Farewelling Slovakia

 Alas it was time to head off and visit our last destination before this whirlwind of a trip wraps up. There are of course more adventures ahead, but this one is almost finished. Everyone came out to say bye in a very appropriate way which we loved. Since we had time, we took a more scenic and new way to the Viennese airport where we booked our last hotel of the trip. The location was perfect as we dropped off the car and got our tickets all sorted before dinner. There was a fun buffet dinner downstairs which we went to so that everyone could get just what they wanted.

Bit more time with Teta Andula

 We walked down through the cemetery and through town to see Teta Andula for one more dinner before we had to go. It was a lovely dinner and nice time seeing each other again, making it even harder to part. On our way home we had a play on the favourite playground in town. The cats met us outside and one of them even let us pick her up, which was the cherry on top of the nice day.

Relaxing with family

 After our trip we wanted to take it easy and just spend time with family. Our time was quickly winding up, so every moment was precious. 

Reptiles and art

 Not in the same place, but maybe that could work. On the way back to the car we stopped in at a reptile show in the local public building. They had all sorts of animals both live and mounted which were mostly for sale to a good owner. It was interesting for the girls as the reptiles were different to the ones they are used to from Australia. The art at our next stop was also quite different and we enjoyed looking at it. Somehow we managed to get out of both places without purchasing anything and just enjoying it.

More waters and walking in Luhačovice

 We crossed the stream back to the more developed side and walked through some of the ornate buildings. We ended up trying a few more of the waters with mixed results. There was so much more to look at though, so we really enjoyed the stroll. We followed it up with a really nice lunch. A very pleasant day and we could certainly see how it would be very relaxing to convalesce here. 

The waters of Luhačovice

 After a nice walk we came to the first of many springs natural springs whose water we could freely sample. This one was quite full of iron and not one we loved. So we moved on to another one which was a bit better. The girls liked the forresty feel of this one, and in any case it was nice to have an easy walk through the manicured gardens.

Visiting Luhačovice

 Luhačovice is a small town in the Czech Republic which is known for highly mineralised hot springs. People from all around the world go there to help with various ailments which are helped by the hot springs and wellness regimes. Teta Andula took us there just as she had taken TV there when he was younger. She herself had treatments there in the past and remembers the town fondly. We really liked the town as it was so nicely kept up and very pleasant to stroll through without being super busy.
