Working on things in the morning

The girls all had things to work on in the morning. EV is working with different kinds of putty and making shapes out of it. MV was working on her viola without prompting and starting to really play. SV was working on some creative writing and then helping pick out songs for MV to play.

RC cars in the park

The girls took their RC cars to the park and got to drive them around in the dirt. They had fun skidding and jumping the cars although EV managed to almost get one of the cars stuck on the wrong side of the fence. We managed to retrieve it with a stick and they kept on racing around.

More climbing, different hill

The girls wanted to do a bit more climbing so we moved over to a different hill. This one was not quite as steep but was just as challenging because of the lack of roots. Made it quite slippery and fun for them. EV didn't attempt this hill but was happy to play with rocks instead.

Climbing the tree roots

The girls found a great place to climb a steep hill. The fig trees have these wonderful roots which are perfect for using to climb up the hill. All three of the girls really enjoy the challenge of climbing up and then sliding back down the hill.

Another non-picnic in the park

TV took the girls to the park to take in the air. They also had a non-picnic to give the girls some fuel before they undertook their activities. EV was certainly not afraid to get after the sandwich, but then again neither were the other two. The girls also found a fun chair to try out although only EV was happy to sit in it long enough for a photograph.

Umbrella fort

The girls built a fort from umbrellas and put a whole bunch of blankets to make themselves comfortable. They were really proud of the work they did. It was quite a well built fort actually.

Wellbeing Wednesday

The school decided that after 5 weeks of home schooling everyone needed a day to take care of themselves. They came up with Wellbeing Wednesday where the kids did activities that helped them with their wellbeing rather than their normal course work. The girls did all sorts of things including SV learning how to play solitaire and MV doing all sorts of painting.
