Like mother like daughter. Alternately they could be helping the good doctor out.

Port Arthur Part 2
Port Arthur is steeped in history, but it is also a beautiful place onto itself as you can probably see from the photographs. We had a lovely time strolling through the grounds and the house of the camp commandant. Eventually a certain little character got tired and needed a rest.

Port Arthur Part 1
We went to the historic Port Arthur site which is Tasmania's most famous convict era landmark. It is a large complex consisting of a number of buildings including the main convict quarters and church. Here are a number of photographs of us taking in the site and the free cruise.

Sailor hat
We caught this tiny sailor in the act as she was thieving KT's wallet. Eventually she did put some of the things back though.

Tasmanian Devil Sancuary
One of the attractions near Hobart is the Tasmanian Devil Sanctuary which sponsors research and cares for Tasmanian Devils. The wild Tasmanian Devil population is being decimated by a facial tumour which is spread through the devils biting each other when they fight. There are a number of organisations trying to find a cure for this cancer and/or virus to prevent the devils becoming extinct.
We all enjoyed walking through the sanctuary watching the devils, including a feed, and the other native Tasmanian animals. SV especially enjoyed playing with the kangaroos which were very patient.
