Going for a shop

SV and TV went out to do some errands including doing some shopping while KT was at work. They took advantage of the air con in the mall to have a play since the temperature is going up for summer. SV had fun at the playground and also meeting the reindeer. She tried to climb one before TV stopped her. Later one SV was looking at the living wall of one of the shopping centres. She was trying to smell some of the flowers on the wall.

Listening to Squishy

We had a bit of a listen to Squishy now that he/she is popping out in KT's tummy. SV has been quite interested in the entire process and she says that she is excited to meet her new sister (although that is unconfirmed).
The splotches on SV's face are from mosquito bites which she got from one pesky mozzy overnight. Poor kid looks like she got into a fight and ended up with two black eyes. In fact they were bites right on her eye lids which ended up swelling up pretty badly.

Pink hair

SV wanted pink hair but we said no. A wig seemed like a good compromise. She had fun wearing it, although she did get a bit annoyed with us taking photographs of her in it. She eventually took it of because her head got sweaty which annoyed her a bit. We think this interest in coloured hair started with seeing people on the street, and she thought it was interesting.

Squishy's 17 week scan

Today we had a ultrasound scan of Squishy to see how he/she was travelling. Everything is going well so far. Again we decided not to find out the gender so that it would be a surprise.

Going to the movies

All three of us took a trip for SV's first movie experience. She's been to the movies before as a tiny baby, but this is the first time she got to go where the movie was actually for her. She even got pop corn (after her sandwich) to enjoy with the film. She really enjoyed it, although the previews scared her a little bit, it was a live action Paddington bear movie with the bear doing some weird things. She really liked the movie, Maya the bee, which she usually watches at home in Slovak. It was quite nice that the theatre had booster seats complete with cup holders for the kids to use if required, SV used it to give her a bit more height although she probably could have done without it.

Mum's shoes

SV has started trying on her mummies shoes. She is doing ok walking in heels actually, we aren't sure where she learned that though. In case you were wondering, she is wearing her 'Princess Dress', which is currently a favourite dress up item of hers.

Jumping on the bed

SV has always enjoyed jumping on the bed and she is getting ever better at doing it. She did have one set back though as she jumped too close to the edge and fell off. Since then she is being more cautious, but jumping ever higher.

Outside play at Harriet's

After playing inside for a while the kids wanted to take advantage of the great weather and play outside for a bit. The play house was quite popular, but SV was a bit hesitant to get on the trampoline. They had a good time and played very nicely. It was great to see them because we could almost forget about them and talk.
