Then and now: child care

Couple of photographs from SV's first days of child care and her last day.

SV's last day of child care

Oh how the time has flown. We can still clearly remember when SV started child care three years ago. She has certainly come a long way since then. Long time readers will have seen her grow and mature, and having points in her life like this really highlights her progress. We are all very proud of her and look forward to the next chapter of her education.

Playing shop

The last few weeks the girls have really started playing together in an imaginative way. Here they were playing shop. MV was the shopper picking out and buying groceries while SV scanned them. SV worked the till and at the end accepted MV's money and gave her change. SV still gets frustrated sometimes when MV doesn't quite understand or upholds her part of the play, but that is slowly getting better as MV understands more.

Matchy matchy dancing

The girls have a couple of matching dresses that sometimes get worn at the same time. This was one such occasion. They were twirly dresses which ensured that the girls danced around in them and struck a few dramatic poses. 

Melting snowman

SV finished her breakfast quickly and started playing with her melting snowman. MV was content with finishing her breaky by watching SV and Endir playing. We suspect she was planning out her after breakfast activities because she then played with the snowman before going out and playing with Endir.

SV takes control of the camera

There was a request for SV to take some photographs of Endir and these are some of the resulting photographs. She had fun with the assignment, especially doing hold out photographs of her and other members of the family.

Boat only access

We tied up and went to a beach and camp site that is only accessible by water. The water there was quite warm which also meant there were stingrays that like to hang out there too. Luckily we didn't encounter any but SV wasn't taking any chances. We also saw a goanna who walked by us we were changing into our cozies.

Going on a boat

The Postle's invited us out on their boat. It was heaps of fun and all the kids actually wore their life vests without too much complaint. After applying a bit of sunscreen we explored the boat and admired some of the other boats.
