Climbing like monkeys
After riding scooters turned out to be not the best activity, we went for a walk instead. There was still some grumbling so TV encouraged SV to show him how she climbs trees. She was quite excited and forgot all about her worries. MV of course wanted to follow and soon they were both climbing around like monkeys. They were excited to have a snack in the tree, sort of a picnic in the tree tops.

Scootering in the park for some
MV was happy to scoot around the park for quite some time. SV on the other hand was quite grumpy because she didn't want to ride because of the clouds. She was afraid a storm may come through and she was worried about the potential danger of that. Eventually MV went and played with her under cover and they had fun.

Soft lighting at the park
After the ice skating we went to a park in order to warm up. The park had a really soft light which was great for a handful of photographs. Just kidding, the lens had condensation from going into to warm humid air. We did end up helping a couple replace the tire on their car though. SV was instrumental in asking them if they needed help and starting a dialogue.

MV's first ice skating
We met up with our friends at the ice rink to escape the heat and for MV to have her first chance to try ice skating. She really enjoyed it, even when she fell on her bum. She actually picked it up quite quickly. SV had fun once she got over her timidness.

Box canoe
As we have said before, the best toys are not always the fanciest. MV got into the box and started paddling and SV soon jumped in too to help. Then MV became the commander of the boat until the game changed again and SV became the musician. They played for quite a while.

A little pool
Sometimes all you need is a little pool to have lots of fun. Case in point are these two as they enjoy their little pool.

Opening the rest of the gifts
In the morning we got up and after playing in their rooms for quite a while we all came down to see if Santa left anything. This year it seems the girls were quite good and they both got a number of presents. SV was pleasantly surprised as she thought that she was a bit naughty and wouldn't get much from Santa. Instead she got her unicorn pegasus as she wanted. MV also got a unicorn to colour on and was happy.
