TV portraits

Today we are starting a short series of portraits on each of us. Seems that we may go in a particular order starting with TV.

Back to school post Covid

As the Covid lockdown is slowly being wound back it was time for kids to head back to school. At first only one day a week but within two weeks they were back full time. This brought positives and negatives with it, it was great the kids would get to see their friends and have face time with teachers. Although it was fun being home together for so long and really getting to know them and what they were learning. The kids themselves also had a mix of excitement and reservation about going back.

Relaxing for Mother's Day

In the afternoon KT got to choose the movie of the week and not surprisingly chose Lady and the Highwayman. All four of the ladies were captivated and enjoyed the film. This of course made KT's day.

Mother's Day 2020

While we couldn't take KT out for a nice brunch or a lovely dinner we still tried to make it a nice Mother's Day this year. SV was being funny when she gave her a roll of toilet paper. She also geve her a chatterbox. MV, EV and TV went and got fresh flowers and a nice coffee to get the morning started right. This also left a quiet house for an hour so KT could just sit quietly and relax.

Parachute men

TV got a couple of parachute men for his biurthday as a gag and we finally gave them a go. We've never seen these kind before as we had to assemble them ourselves. We had to tie the parachutes on before we could use them. It was a tad frustrating, but we got there in the end. We decided to bring out the ladder to give us a bit more height. The girls liked playing with the parachute men, but climing the ladder was even more fun.

Birthday dessert

After presents it was time for some 'cake', except no one really likes cake so we had ice cream instead. Everyone enjoyed the treats. Didn't last long, but it was a fine way to wrap up the day.

MV's pressies

After dinner it was the moment MV was waiting for all day! Presents! We all took turns congratulating MV and giving her the gifts. She really appreciated them, especially the ones from SV.
