MV's morning

MV was missing her sister in the morning but even that didn't stop her from playing in the pool. She was really enjoying her 'freedom'. Swimming, climbing and even having a bath. Of course staying hydrated was quite important and she took that very seriously.

SV's morning

Unfortunately SV had a bacterial infection which meant she ended up in hospital. After getting antibiotics and fluids she made a good recovery. We were quite fortunate as the hospital was brand new and very well appointed. In fact SV was the first patient in her room. It was hard to see her like that, but the villa staff, nurses, doctors and our friends were all very supportive.

Water babies

It's easy to see that these kids enjoy the water happily frolicking any time of the day.

Queen of the villa

MV took advantage of everyone doing different activities to take charge of the villa. Her first act was to take her clothes off and and enjoy a snack with a view.

Turtle sanctuary

Right next door to our villa was a turtle sanctuary which is affiliated with the Bali zoo. They collect eggs and help them grow before releasing them back into the sea. They allow tourists like us to release them and learn a bit about them in the process. MV was interested, especially in the release, although she was a bit reserved about the ocean.

Sure, why not. Proved to be quite popular with the short crowd. Especially since that is SV's favourite mythical animal. MV doesn't seem to mind them either.

Day trip to Ubud

We all made the relatively short trip up to Ubud to look at the monkey forest and other sighs. Unfortunately it started absolutely bucketing and we got soaked. The kids got some new clothes out of the adventure and a bit of fun looking at the monkeys and rice fields.
