Our new Apartment

We moved into our new apartment at the end of January and have been busy making it our own. We apologize for how long it took us to take photos and post them, but in our defense we were waiting for a few things to come, and when they finally did we left for our holiday to Tasmania. Speaking of our holiday, we will be posting pictures from that in the next few days.
Alright, so here are a few photos of the new apartment, including views from our windows. We now live on the fourth floor and so we actually get pretty decent views, including a part of downtown on clear days. We start out with photos of the guest bedroom/computer room, then we have the kitchen/living room with it's bright wall tapestry. Next is the master bedroom and hallway, and then our bathroom. Finally we have the garage which has been a dumping ground so far, and will get organized soon. So in a few photos this is our new house. So far it has been much nicer than the other little apartment, and has felt like home from the very beginning.

Jody's Grand Visit

Our Jody came over for a visit and spent a little over a week with us. There were lots of activities that we planned, unfortunately the rain came and stuck around for most of the time. We did manage to make the most of the rainy days though. When the sun did come out we were sure to take full advantage, Jody had a bit of a tan when she got home, and had a good idea of the speedo vs boardshorts ratio of swimsuits in Sydney. KT and Jody had fun exploring some of the local night time hot spots including the -15 bar, where everything is made of ice and they lend you a coat so that you don't freeze. We also took in the usual places, but our trip to the Blue Mountains proved to be interesting, with the clouds obscuring most of the views. We did have lunch at an interesting and tasty little place on the way. We also saw a flock of Cuccatoos. At the Sydney Aquarium we saw that the long neck turtle really did have an unusually long neck, and that sharks can sometimes be lazy and just lay around. Of course there was also the tattoo incident which got some interesting responses from everyone. It was really good having Jody here and we hope that she had a good trip.

Katie's Look

Thank you all for voicing your opinions. This was an airbrushed trial version of a tattoo that KT hopes to acquire later in life. She hopes to make the acquaintance of a skilled and accomplished tattoo artist to help her complete a full sleeve by her 80th birthday.
