Saying our final good bye to Setsuna

We burried our special bunny Setsuna today and she is missed, and so in the ANZAC spirit these words ring true:

We will remember her

Lest we forget

Setsuna

 We were so very lucky to all be there before and as our wonderful bunny Setsuna died yesterday. We all got to hold her and say good bye to her as she died in SV's arms. She could feel all of our love for her as we all spoke to her. It was a comfort to know she did not suffer. It was very emotional but we all got to be there together and support each other through it. She was a truly special bunny that was a companion to all of us and truly a member of our family. She will be missed but not forgotten.

 Before we left California we made sure to get a photograph with Mt Shasta. Actually because it was looking quite picturesque we ended up taking several photos with it.

 Before driving further north into Oregon we decided to go for a walk to see a waterfall. It was a nice walk but we were definitely not the only ones with this idea. There were a couple of ruins along the way which we stopped to look at before we managed to get to the waterfall itself. Once there we also climbed rocks downstream a little bit and found some nice little pools. The water was quite cold so we didn't go swimming but dipping our hands into it was quite refreshing.

Shasta City

 We are off on a road trip to Canada. We left Sacramento and headed north on our way to Canada for TV's mountain bike race. The first night we made it to Shasta City where we spent the night. We stopped for dinner before getting there. The hotel room was pretty cool because there were bike racks on the walls. Turns out there is a relatively new mountain bike network which is continuing to grow. We had a nice stay and were ready to go further north the next day.

Checkers with friends

 TV's good friend Eric came over and his kids played games together. We haven't seen Eric for quite some time and his kids even longer. So it was really great that our kids got to meet his and they got along well. EV really enjoyed playing checkers and even managed to win a match.

Swimming and games with the cousins

 Uncle Mark and his family met us at Grandma Cece's house and the cousins all got to have some fun together. They definitely went swimming since it was such a hot day. There were a lot of games getting played as well as Uncle Mark taught us some new ones to play.
