SV did a bit of research and really wanted to visit the emerald pools for a swim. We hired a driver with a 'first class' van who took us there. Once we got there we had to walk a little ways to the pools, but it was a lovely walk and we didn't mind. There was a nice little rest area and some funny statues along the way too. The pool itself was quite nice and green, so it didn't disappoint.

Swinging on the beach
After dinner the girls went on a tree swing for a bit of fun. It was such a lovely evening as the sun set and dusk was settling in. We had a bit of a walk on the beach and a lovely couple took some family photographs of us before we started home.

Looking for monkeys
We went for a bit of a walk to another beach, partially to see the other beach and partially to see monkeys which were meant to live in the forest along the walk. The walk was nice as was the other beach, but we didn't see any monkeys which was rather disappointing. On the walk back we got caught in a tropical storm and got absolutely drenched. So we stopped at one of the restaurants for a drink and eventually dinner as the storm passed over. It ended up being quite lovely actually.

Ao-Nang beach
In the afternoon we went ot the beach where it was quite hot. We found a shady spot to sit and play in. Eventually it got too hot and some of us went in for a dip. EV didn't go in but played with her sunnies instead. It was certainly a nice way to spend a few relaxing hours.

Sleeping in and taking it easy
We had a leisurely morning where we all slept in. Slowly we all woke up and got down to different tasks. Surprisingly MV was the last to wake up, but she didn't mind as she had a lovely breaky by the pool. Eventually we called Mr Bumbum, our local driver, to come pick us up and we headed into town. We walked around a bit before we stopped for some juice and lunch. SV then got a coconut to try with mixed reviews.

Vegetarian birthday dinner
Once the rain cleared off we took a taxi to the beach for a sunset walk to dinner. SV got to pick the dinner venue and chose a vegetarian Indian buffet. The food was really good although sitting on the floor was fun for the first few minutes before becoming quite the challenge. Luckily the people who worked there were super nice and played with EV so the rest of us could eat. SV got a giant hot dog which suited her nicely.
