Going ice skating

SV has been talking about snow, ice and making snowmen for quite a while now. Uncle Damian suggested that we all catch up and check out the winter festival that was going on at Darling Harbour. As part of that there was an ice skating rink constructed. So we all jumped on some sort of 'light rail' and went on a trip. SV was amazed by all the lights and activities. She enjoyed a giant slide although probably a bit more in hindsight.

It is very sweet to see SV snoozing away peacefully like this.

Baking baby

SV and KT have really started to enjoy baking together. Sometimes SV likes to bake in costumes as well and makes themed baked goods. This time it was bunny biscuits.

Pink dress cuteness

SV seems to be really enjoying wearing dresses. Combine that with her current pink phase and the result is a safe bet that when given a choice she will want to wear a pink dress. Preferably one with a big skirt so it can be a 'princess' dress. Please note that we are not trying to encourage this, so don't get any ideas.

Eskimo kiss

KT and SV sitting on the couch having an eskimo kiss. Interestingly it's actually the way that New Zealand Maori traditionally greet each other.

Lunch with Jack at the Quay

We met our friend Jack at Circular Quay and had lunch at the Opera Bar. It was another fabulously sunny day which made it ideal to have lunch overlooking the harbour. It never seems to get old to have the Sydney Opera House serve as a backdrop. We all enjoyed a good walk through the city beforehand as well to build up a bit of an appetite.

Afternoon tea and nap

The only thing better than a nice afternoon tea with warm scones, cream and jam overlooking a beautiful view is to follow it all up with a wonderful nap. SV is quite aware of that and made sure that she did exactly that.
