Sushi dinner bonanza
These kids certainly have heaps more exposure to other cultures than even we did. Here these two got to have sushi for dinner, which is one of their favourite foods. We didn't have sushi until well into our teens as it just wasn't even in our consciousness. It is certainly a different world, one which is more connected and interrelated. These two are certainly happily reaping the rewards of this flow of cultures.

Pizza and Pocahontas
The girls were both very good and as a reward we all got pizza and watched Pocahontas. MV was fascinated and almost let her milk cup drop. SV decided to put on her hat and pretended it was her John Smith hat, but she made very clear that it was not a helmet.

Underwater swimmers
SV and MV are both getting to be good swimmers. SV really enjoys swimming underwater and MV now tolerates it. Here are a couple of underwater photographs of them taken at their swim lessons.

Eating fishes
We found goldfish crackers at our Costco and now they are a popular after school snack. Often they are enjoyed over a book or two as dinner is being prepared.

Chocolate straws
This was MV's first time using a flavoured straw to drink her milk, and she certainly approved. SV is an old pro and enjoyed gulping down her milk along with her bagel. Ever since Babicka made poppy seeds a fun food by showing the girls how they dance on their plates we are constantly asked for poppy seed bagels. Now we just got whichever bagels we can and just add poppy seeds to the top from a satchel.

Reading and saying good bye to Grandma CeCe
After what seemed like a short visit, it was time to say good bye to Grandma CeCe for a little while. We made the most of her last day, spending time together and getting her to read a few more stories. KT then took her to the airport while Uncle Mat took over some of the entertainment duties. He helped keep things light and fun so none of us got too sad.

Fun morning
It was one of Grandma CeCe's last mornings and we made the most of it. Playing games, reading books and having a tasty breakfast. The girls even had kids tea, making it a nice little family morning.
