Fun morning

We had an early start to the day and got straight into breaky. Both the little monkeys got into it and enjoyed it. Afterwards it was time to play which they both did independently, but keeping an eye on each other the whole time. MV is getting more steady standing and is getting ever so close to walking.

Settling in at home

After quite a bit of travel, these two jet-setting ladies are glad to be back home. They are enjoying some quiet time at home and focusing on learning new skills. SV is working really hard to decipher the alphabet so she can master books. She has a long way to go, but she is quite determined. MV on the other hand is really getting more and more comfortable with standing now that she has mastered the stairs. It certainly won't be long before she is walking all around.

Day 6 heading home

Checking out is not much fun, but the beautiful gardens certainly made it much better. MV enjoyed the chewing on the ice cream stick while she waited as it helped with her next set of teeth. We had one more lunch and KT stopped in a bookstore for a coffee. In the meantime TV and SV played tic tac toe while MV looked at the books. Eventually we headed to the airport where a car ride entertained MV and SV for a long time. It was a bit hokey but who could argue with the results.

Day 6 a last dip in the pool

On our last day we just had to get into the pool for one more dip. It was just too inviting not to go in. SV is now really comfortable floating around on her noodle and kicking her legs all by herself. MV is also happy in her tube but being able to walk around is still the most fun.

Post swim exhaustion

Exhaustion was the word after a morning of swimming. We all had a hard earned rest but first we had a nice lunch with a great view of the waterfront.

Day 5 at Port Douglas

We went to the pool instead of the beach to stay out of the sun a bit more. The girls really didn't seem to mind too much since they got to be in the water and play. Although MV did get a bit upset when we took her out for a short break. After a fair bit of swimming and floating they both ended up playing in the shallows. MV continues to work on her standing and stands around all over the place.

Day 4 at Port Douglas

We again headed to the beach for some fun in the sun. This time we had a few unexpected surprises though. As we were changing we saw a tree snake come by for a drink of fresh water before making his way back into the trees. Also MV decided she was ready to drive the car but luckily only to lunch. After lunch we rewarded our hard work with an ice cream.
