The girls worked with getting the pool cover cleaned and taking it off the pool. This meant they had a nice pristine pool to swim in. They spent almost the entire afternoon in the pool. Luna was excited and ran around the pool, but her and EV got tired and took a little break. EV couldn't resist going back in the pool though once KT got in the pool too.
EV and Luna have become fast friends and spent a fair amount of time together. They enjoyed having breaky together even though Luna is not particularly food motivated. What she really wanted was the cuddles after.
This was the first year that we woke MV up for the midnight fireworks and the first time SV was allowed to stay up to watch the fireworks. We climbed up on the roof to watch them and the girls loved it. We then watched the full replay the following morning. It was a great way to ring in the new year.
The Postles invited us for a BBQ at their house. Matt made a slow cooked brisket which was amazing. It was really nice to be able to have a chat with them while the kids played together. They were pretty wild on the trampoline playing all sorts of games. The big girls were jumping too much for EV so she decided to take photographs of them instead.
KT took everyone out to Manly for a little getaway. They took a bus and two ferries to get there, but it was all part of the adventure. The beach was quite busy since the water was quite nice and it was such a warm day. After playing in the waves they went had lunch and an ice cream. It was really a great day and everyone had that nice tiredness after a big day out.
We had fun opening a few more things and playing with some new toys, including the new beach wagon. Luna joined in for a bit of fun too, although she didn't love the jumper much. Afterwards we all went to grab some lunch as it was hungry work.
Babicka took the girls to the aquarium to watch Brad do his shark dive experience. KT and TV took advantage to have a nice long lunch. Turned out to be a fun day for everyone. The girls really enjoyed the penguins and the underwater viewing areas, including being able to see Brad with the sharks.
