Splitting up the lollies

The girls are always really good. They make  sure that they all have the same number of lollies. They then traded them all around so they all had what they wanted.

Halloween dinner

Usually we have pizza for dinner but this time we ended up having sushi instead. It proved to be a popular choice as we ate just about everything. It was good as well because with so many people it was easy to grab a piece or two and come back again. MV ended up taking a plate out front and continued handing out lollies.

Trick or treating in 2023

This year was slightly different in that we had a different Mat doing the trick or treating walk initially. We also had SV's friend Lucas join us for the walk. This year quite a lot of people left bowls of lollies out but quite a few of them were empty by the time we went by. Seems like there were a couple of rude kids that took more than their fair share. Oh well, the kids still managed to get heaps of lollies. Half way through we traded a Yellow Crayon for Ginger Spice who enjoyed her time.

2023 Costumes

Here all of the Halloween costumes for this year. We thought they looked great as even Uncle Mat got dressed up.

2023 Halloween costumes

This year again the girls did their own costumes. KT ended up helping with the make up to finish the costumes off. EV again went as the devil although we suspect this is the last year. MV was of course Wednesday Addams and played the part perfectly. SV was a woodland elf which she thought off with her friend Harriett.

Princess EV and her steed

EV was really excited to wear this dress. She decided to dress it up with a tiara and made sure that her horse also had one too.

More carving

The girls tried a new technique to get the pumpkin guts out. They used a mixer to loosen everything up and then used a big metal spoon to scoop it all out. It actually worked pretty well. We also ended up with a whole bunch of seeds to roast too. The three pumpkins turned out great and all so different.
