SV's horse lesson

SV was lucky as she got to have the last available lesson of the day and she ended up being the only one there. She got to ride a horse named Stitches who was just about her size. She was happy because she got to ride Stitches the last time she was here for a lesson. She did really well practising cantering and weaving between poles as well as general steering. MV was happy too because she found a friend to pat, and other distractions. Afterwards we all went and had an iced cream of some sort cool off a bit.

Finally going for a ride

After lunch the sun came out and it was finally time for a ride. We got to borrow a horse and the girls alternated leading the horse with TV's help and riding her. They had fun as we explored the field. Both girls were well positioned on the horse, but SV certainly had more of an air of authority which the horse responded to.

Exploring and archery training

After a few treats we went to walk around and explore the valley a bit. Plenty of space to do so. While TV prepared some lunch the girls got the bow out and SV did some archery practice. MV got to try it as well with a little help. She mostly enjoyed picking up the arrows though. After a nice light lunch we relaxed for a bit before it was time for a ride.

Wet morning camp

In the morning we woke up to the rain on the tent. Made for an interesting time getting oatmeal made. Everyone had a sense of adventure and so we ate inside the tent. Afterwards we ventured outside since we were prepared for the wet. Playing outside we saw some horse riders go by so we headed to the main buildings to have a look around. Also SV was super excited about the vending machine. Once there they both asked for some money to get something from the vending machine. TV gave them the money but before he could get the camera out SV had already completed her transaction because she was just so excited. MV took her time a bit more and then really had to get in there to grab her prize. Afterwards they enjoyed their snacks while taking in the view.

Going horse camping

We decided to go camping and since both MV and SV enjoy horses we went to Glenworth valley so they could also ride. Once we arrived the girls ran around and made new friends while TV set up camp. They started the group playing games and keeping the kids busy while the adults all made dinner. They came back to a bit of a fire and some soup, bread and veggies for dinner. They enjoyed the dinner by lantern and then we all got into the tent for an early night.

Hannah's party

SV was invited to her friend Hannah's birthday party. MV got to tag along too and had heaps of fun running around with the big kids. Everyone enjoyed the bubbles and running around. The kids also did heaps of crafts. MV had fun hanging out with their friend Abby who she gets on with very well. They even stood in line for the pinata together.

International morning dress

For some reason MV and SV decided to dress p before breakfast in some of their international clothes. MV chose a traditional Balinese dress while SV chose a Japanese jinbei. Both looked stylish even as they played.
