Blankets on teddy

SV is quite fond of putting 'blankets' on her toys or on people. This time she had her ted in bed and started covering him up. She kept telling us to shush so that ted could sleep.

Xmas decorating

SV has been very excited to put up our decorations. She didn't appreciate us dragging our feet and took matters into her hands. She was quite helpful in pulling everything out and assisting with untangling the lights. Then she was quite happy to finally decorate the little xmas tree and xmas aloe plant. We had too many ornaments for our little tree so the aloe was recruited to help, and hey, its fitting since the temperature is going up.

Belated feast

Happy belated Thanksgiving to those of you in the US. We only just got around to having a mini feast. It was a matter of getting all three of us at home at the same time. We lucked out and had a relatively cool day as well which made the cooking tolerable. We had a lovely meal with a three bird roast as the centre piece along with all the trimmings. Hopefully you all had a good turkey day as well.

Happy festivus!

SV has decided to dress up as the festive season. She is little miss festivus. She thought it was really funny though.

SV also wanted to make sure that all of you had your advent calendars and that each day you were opening a door as meticulously as she does.

New glasses

SV tried on a new pair of glasses and had fun experimenting with different looks. Of course it was only a temporary game since they were actually KT's glasses.

Back to the pool

TV and SV took a ride to the pool again after a long hiatus since the weather is getting nice again. SV swam really well. In fact she is now able to swim the entire length of the pool with her arm floaties. The trouble is trying to get her to close her mouth because she giggles the entire time. We think she may have been just as surprised as we were in her swimming ability. Eventually TV took the floaties off her arms, and she swam very well but she just doesn't have much buoyancy. Her little legs couldn't quite compensate and she ended up sinking if she wasn't given a little bit of help. After her swim, SV enjoyed a bit of a splash around in the kiddie pool where she played with some of her peers.

Real Legos

SV has now graduated to playing with real Legos with the help of TV. Of course TV is super happy to be able to help her out. They have been working on this town truck model for a couple of days now but it has been really good to see how patient SV is, and willing to follow instructions. Although when she gets a bit tired of it she does start doing free form. Her manual dexterity has also come a long way and gets better with this sort of play as well.
