Cheering on soccer friends

 We went to our local park because a couple of MV's friends were playing soccer. MV made a sign and was very excited to go watch. EV was also excited to watch but the draw of the monkey bars was just too great and she soon went off to climb.

Nagy's stay

 Babicka and Auntie Edina were out of town so Nagy came down to Sac. We had fun taking her around to see people and to have some fun meals. She finally got to meet Setsuna as well. We got to hear loads of stories too which was fun.

Family cycle trip

 Since it was finally cooling down but the weather was still very mild we went for a family bike trip. EV is now really getting how to ride her bike and was keen to get a longer and more steady ride in. We all went on the bike trail along the river and had a very nice ride. It was quite pleasant and EV loved the freedom to go for a long time, we ended up going almost 15 kilometres.

SV experiments

 Lately SV has been really enjoying science in most of its forms. She has been doing well at school thanks to a great science teacher and it has sparked an interest for experimentation at home as well. She has been using kits and other things to come up with experiments.

Halloween trick or treating

 SV had a friend come over to go trick or treating with and so we had a small band walking around together. We were quite surprised as there were not that many kids walking around as we thought. They all seemed to drive (quite ridiculous actually) to specific spots where the houses are more dense and tend to give out expensive chocolates. We enjoyed walking around our own neighbourhood though and the girls got more than enough lollies to last months.

School Halloween and parade

 The girls had different costumes for school and so we made sure to get some photographs of them before they headed to school. The younger two also had a costume parade outside of the school and we went to catch a glimpse of them as they walked by. EV went as a vampire which was good. MV's costume was spot on though, because she went as her teacher who also happened to be wearing a flannel button up shirt that day. He seemed to appreciate the costume as did her classmates. SV meanwhile went as a captain, although it was not the Titanic that she was captaining this time.

Bushwalk near Union Reservoir

 KT and TV took a short drive up to the Sierras to do a bit of a bushwalk before the snow set in. A few of the places had already started closing but they found a nice walk along a creek which ultimately led them to a waterfall. It was nice to be out in nature and enjoying the crisp autumn air in the mountains.
