Matching Halloween shirts

KT got the girls all matching Halloween shirts to wear during the day to make it more festive since they were all home together. They enjoyed having the same shirt, but MV really didn't want to take photographs of them wearing them together. SV was going to a party so she ended up getting dressed up a bit earlier.

Pumpkin carving and painting

We did a bit of pumpkin carving, but MV didn't want to carve so she drew on it instead. She used SV's pens to draw an intricate design on one of the pumpkins. SV and EV really enjoyed the scooping out of the insides of the pumpkins even though it was a little bit slimy. KT had a great time carving her own pumpkin for EV.

Pumpkin gym

The girls were using the pumpkins as exercise equipment. Climbing on them, lifting them and jumping over them. They certainly had a good time, and that was even before they started carving them.

Signing SV's cast

SV was excited about her permanent cast and of course MV was the first to get to sign it. We then got to be next. SV even got coloured pens specifically for people to sign with. After her first day of school SV hardly had any space left for more signatures, and she said she felt like a 'major celebrity'.

Decorating for Halloween

Everyone helped get the house ready for Halloween this year, well almost everyone. Setsuna was just enjoying a bit of some and peace in the backyard. What was fun was that as we putting up the decorations heaps of people we knew walked by and said hi. After we finished two of the neighbour kids stopped by and ended up playing for a while as well. Sort of an impromptu play date.

MV's first soccer training

MV started her soccer training and has enjoyed it. Everyone came out to watch and cheer her on. She did great as well, helps that she has been kicking the ball around with SV before.

Book week 2020

The girls always get really excited about book week and this year was no different. They started planning their costumes more than a month before. They both wanted to be dragons so we had to go and get some fabric and KT came up with an idea of how to make the costumes. There was a fair amount of work but in the end they came together really nicely. The girls loved them.
