Trying out the new kite
It was a great day with just a enough wind to fly a kite. Since TV finished making the kite handle and we had sting we decided to take the hand made kite out for its maiden flight. The eagle kite flew very easily and with minimal effort, perhaps a little too easily as SV got worried that it could fly away. We were forced to pack it away and instead fly the rainbow kite. It seemed that the girls had fun, although MV did lose interest after a while.

Play centre portraits
We again went to a play area so the girls could run around. They had fun, and they quite enjoyed the view below. We took some portraits of them while they were lost in observation and thought. Unfortunately SV still has some of the scratches MV made on her face.

Family music hour
Maybe not quite a whole hour, but the ladies all played their instruments together. We are trying to make this a semi regular thing for everyone to practice playing an instrument.

Swim swim jump
Since it's the summer we have been hitting up the pool a fair bit. It's been paying off heaps for the girls and their swimming.

More from the museum
The museum was so much fun we needed to stop and have a break for a snack. We looked through the dinosaurs, but unfortunately only part of it was open. Eventually we got a bit tired and stopped for lunch. The girls were not quite ready and were consequently annoyed initially.

Going to the museum
We went to the museum because SV has been asking to go all of school holidays. Both SV and MV had fun exploring the museum which has been updated again. It's even better then before, particularly the old part of the museum. They quite enjoyed the new exhibits and patting the stuffed animals.

MV's ballet
MV started ballet class although at first she wasn't quite so enthusiastic about it. KT got her to practice some moves at home though which got her excited. She ended up having a really good time and doing well.
