Taco night

After a hard day of playing SV likes to help with the laundry but only after a bit of a rest. This day we were having tacos for dinner which used to get a lukewarm reception. Lately though SV has grown fond of them, but perhaps mostly because she gets to assemble all the ingredients inside before rolling it all up. Good fun.

Pink hat in the park

These days we aren't travelling as much as last year, but we still get out so SV gets to have some fun. At the park she likes to watch the other kids before getting into the mix herself. She also really likes to get in the little house and play in there with or without other kids. She is really starting to enjoy making faces too.

Balloons!!!

SV was given several balloons which she played with for a while. First she put them on her fingers and ran around with her new 'finger puppets'. Then we inflated them and she proceeded to pile them on the bed and jump with them. She liked to make them bounce up with her jumps.

Sweeping the mess

After a good planting session with dubious aim, SV was more than happy to do a bit of sweeping. She was very good about helping clean up the mess, but then it's not much of a surprise since she is a tidy kid, it's in her genes after all.

Planting

We got some plants given to us and we needed to move them into bigger pots. So naturally we got SV to help out. She really enjoyed it, especially the playing with the dirt. She was actually quite gentle with the little plants, although her aim with the dirt could use a bit of work.

Journal time

SV received a little journal from Auntie Brenda and she started using it feverishly the very next day. You can tell from the photographs that she is quite focused on her task and takes it very seriously.

Auntie Brenda and Uncle Doug

The Peckham's are visiting Australia and New Zealand and they stopped in for a visit while in Sydney. They helped make and decorate muffins with SV before taking a stroll to the Forum. Some of us had fun riding on the toy cars before dinner. SV was mostly well behaved, but she made an awful big mess with the parmesan, although to be fair at least the initial mess wasn't her fault.
