Sitting up playing

Since we have come back from our around the world trip SV has been sitting up on her own very well. She is now enjoying playing with her toys as she sits on the floor. She looks very cute when she sits there and looks up, although sometimes she is a bit dubious.

SV is trying out all sorts of food these days, but one of the best things are still her fingers.

This stripey kid was really enjoying her Weet-bix. So much so that she fell right to sleep. That meant all three of us could then enjoy a post-breakfast nap. We can highly recommend morning naps.

Lest we forget

Happy Anzac Day! This holiday commemorates the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) landing at Gallipoli during World War 1. If you would like to read more about the history of Anzac Day and the ANZACS check out this link: Australian War Memorial.

Happy birthday Charlie!

The young socialite that she is, SV wasn't about to miss a good park party with friends. She got to say hello to Harriet and Auntie Vanessa who let her eat with the adults. She also met a boy, got tired of him and left him devastated all in the course of one afternoon. Is this a taste of what is to come?

Water es guten

SV is now enjoying her solids along with us, and just like us she enjoys having a beverage with her meal. At this point she is drinking water out of her sippy bottle after her meal. Of course at this point it's just for fun, both the food and the water. She is now one handing the water like a pro.

Indian summer dress

We are experiencing a bit of an Indian Summer here in Sydney before fall and winter really set in. Since the weather has been so nice and warm we had SV wear one of her new dresses which was a gift from Eric and Cheryl. She really enjoyed wearing it, especially because it was so easy to chew on the hem.

Well, SV certainly enjoyed the pool. That was good to see after her hiatus.

SV meets Gareth

Actually both SV and KT met Gareth, a High School chum of TV for the first time. We met up at Circular Quay before proceeding to the Opera Bar where we had a nice sushi lunch.We hadn't been to the Harbour and Opera House for several months, so it was a great reminder of being in Sydney. It was a lovely day with SV being quite vocal, it seemed that she was feeling her oats. She was quite charmed by Gareth though and behaved very well when he was holding her, even listening to his stories attentively.
