After hanging out with Cheryl and having lunch, the girls went into the pool. The girls had a great time swimming although EV complained that the water was too cold. She did a bit of swimming though, but not as much as her sisters. They really enjoyed playing with the giant frog and the pool noodle seat.
We got to go see Cheryl at her house and she showed us all of her wonderful art. SV remembered Cheryl's house well but the other two not so much. EV especially enjoyed walking around and exploring everthing.
After several years we had a chance to revisit Fairytale Town. While SV was now a little bit too old for it, she still managed to have a good time, while her sisters had a great time. They are the perfect age for it and having some of their cousins there was just a bonus. They played for hours together and didn't even let the heat slow them down.
After the hot park incident we went to Gunther's to get some ice cream and to cool down. That turned out to be a brilliant and tasty idea. We all enjoyed our frozen treats.
TV took the girls to the park briefly because they all wanted to go. Unfortunately McKinnley Park, like all parks in the area it seems, doesn't have a shade structure on it, with just a single tree providing shade. So all of the equipment was super hot and while the kids had a good time for about 10 minutes, they came and wanted to go home after burning their hands on some of the equipment. We were really quite surprised at the lack of shade since the summers are so hot and sunny.
After mini golf we went and played some arcade games. The girls played all sorts of games, but the favourite one was the whack-a-mole game.
We met up with Babicka for lunch at a great Japanese restaurant. We then headed over to the mini golf place for a game under the black lights. The girls, particularly EV, were a bit apprhensive but they warmed up very quickly. We had a great time and all of us got a hole in one, which was great.
