After running around on the playground and getting quite warm, we went over to the fountain area. The fountain is a de-facto water play area as all the kids run through the dancing water. SV and MV were really excited to run through the water. EV was more hesitant, but still played a bit.
The playground we went to is really good with all sorts of things to do. They each found an activity they liked and ran around for quite some time. They all did a couple of things together, although the flying fox was not so popular with EV.
We went out to Sydney Olympic Park to ride along the trails. This gave MV and SV a chance to really ride their bikes in a nice setting without too many people around. We got there fairly early to avoid the crowds and heat. It really helped everyone's confidence as they got to pedal hard and really go.
Going to the park for EV to go on the swing and the older two girls to ride their bikes has now developed into a summer habit for us. We all have a good time so it's great. They always try new things which is good too. This time SV pushed herself the most by practicing riding down the steep hill and by racing her friend around the park.
As part of playing soccer the girls got free tickets for the family to go watch Sydney FC play at a near by stadium. It was a really fun late afternoon match despite it being quite hot. We had great seats in the grass some dinner and an iced cream. It was a really family friendly match and the atmosphere was really good which made it that much more pleasant.
MV had a big day, she got to hold the bunny while playing video games and got her nails done. She has really been wanting to hold the rabbit and goes to play with her quite often. Usually they play quite nicely together but on occasion MV is known to chase Setsuna a bit. MV has been asking to put on fake nails and KT finally had the time to do it. MV was super excited by it and thought she was very grown up.
MV got a bit tired of everyone and went up to her room to play with the doll house. She really enjoyed setting it up just the way she wanted without any interference from anyone.
