We walked down some of the main boulevards before we reached the library. The façade of the library is well preserved and is quite an impressive sight. We really enjoyed exploring this part of the Efes site as the buildings were so well preserved. It was starting to get warm though so we needed to take some breaks in the shade to keep our energy up.
We got up a bit early and headed to Efes to be there when it opened. We started at the bottom part of the site and made our way up towards the top. This turned out to be a great way to see it because we had all of the nicest sites all to ourselves. As the day progressed there were more and more people, towards the end the heat and crowds made it less pleasant towards the end.
