Catching up with Julika

We wet to Manly to catch p with our friend Julika and her family who were visiting from Germany. It has been several years since we have seen her so it was really fun. Her kids were really nice and the girls enjoyed playing with them. It was also such a lovely day that we stayed for quite a while.

Portrait time

Some of our friends came over to get portraits done for their passports. MV acted as a model to get everything set up before they arrived. The kids all played for a while before we got down to business. Afterwards we all played chair train.

Baby faces

EV is growing up and starting to get really interested in different things. She is sitting up and very much wants to get her hands on food. She is also quite happy to give a smile.

Hanging out with Uncle Marek

Uncle Marek was visiting us and we headed out around town so he could see the sights. The best way to do that of course is by ferry, especially on such a lovely day. It was really a nice day going by the Opera House on our way to Watson's Bay. A lovely lunch and an ice cream. The girls played on the beach while the adults caught up.

Making crystals

The girls got a crystal making kit and were really excited to start growing crystals. They had fun making the solution and then we just had to wait. Eventually the crystals grew and turned out to be purple which the girls liked. It was quite interesting how it happened actually.

First day of year 2

School has started up again and SV is ready for year 2. She was very happy to be going back and couldn't wait to find out who her new teacher is and to see all of her friends. She gobbled up her pancakes with gusto before heading out.
