Art Science Museum

Aunti Leah suggested we all go to the Art Science Museum. We were so glad we went. It was fantastic even before we went inside. Once inside it was even better than we had expected with Future World having heaps of visual and audio experiences. All of us enjoyed exploring the instalations although SV got to do most activities. We will certainly come back again as it was immersive and spectacular in a way the photographs can't do it justice.

Games at the pool

Auntie Leah came back to our hotel with us for a bit of a chat while SV had a swim. We also had a drink while we played some board games. It was fun and relaxing while catching up.

Cat cafe time

In the morning we had a bit of a leisurely start since we had a late arrival the night before. After breakfast we headed out to get a tea at the local hawker centre but first we walked through one of the more famous street markets right across the street from our hotel. Eventually we got aa tea and SV was a bit surprised by the budha shrine, but got interested once she started reading her horoscope while we waited for the cafe to open. Eventually it did open and we got to pat several of the cats. The cats were in really good health and very calm. Auntie Leah met us there and we chatted for quite some time, but then we got hungry and had to head off for some lunch, making a friend along the way.

TV and SV fly to Singapore

They certainly did it in style too. They decided to use some points to book first class tickets and spend a long weekend in Singapore. KT dropped them off at the airport and starting from check in, the trip was unlike any other. Everything worked super smoothly and with the best service ever. They got to go to the lounge and ordered off the menu. The food was delicious if somewhat misbehaved at times according to SV. To be fair it did not take long for us to relax and enjoy the luxury. In the air the experience was amazing as well since the crew were super nice and we had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves in the suites. Once in Singapore we sped through imigration and our bags were just there. Once at the hotel we got to have a nice cold welcome drink in the lounge before checking going up to our lovely room.

EV's first camping trip

We went camping with some of our friends to the Central Coast. The kids were all excited because they would get to spend so much time with their friends. We were all excited apparently because we left in a hurry and left our sleeping bags at home. Luckily some of our friends had cabins so we borrow some blankets and made some pretty comfy beds. It helped that the days and nights were relatively warm. Once there SV and MV took off with the other kids and they really enjoyed roaming around the caravan park. Generally one of the adults walked with them, but they also had some alone time. EV didn't quite get as much freedom as she wanted, but was still satisfied walking around supervised. Despite the total fire ban, because of all the fires, we still managed to make smores which proved to be generally popular.

SV's end of year concert

We went to SV's concert which is the last one of the year. It was clear that she and the rest of her cohort have improved greatly. They all felt much more comfortable being on the stage as well. On the way home we all had a celebration for the SV's performance.
